Spring break arrived for me as it comes for every student, the anticipation that came with the weeks before brought me into an exciting trip to Texas. I live in NC, so I took a plane, which was very bumpy due to very stormy weather. I didn’t think it could have been possible that I had a blast just touring schools, but even 1,204 miles away from my beloved home I had an exciting and very busy week!
The silos at Magnolia Market Place!
Just a few candles I thought about getting at Magnolia market place!
My family actually bonds over the popular HGTV show, Fixer Upper, hosted by this adorable couple, Chip, and Joanna. I suggest you all watch it, and if you’re ever in Texas swing by their market, even if you aren’t into beautiful home decor, the atmosphere was great. They completed the community-like market with green grass in the back, music some nights, a garden and even a line of food trucks! (If you do, try the crepe one! Yum!!)
If you are in Waco at any point and enjoy the popular pop, Dr Pepper, the museum is right around the corner from Magnolia Markets!
I fell in love with Dallas! I didn’t have an official tour at SMU, but I did drive through the campus, which was beautiful, and stopped at the George W. Bush Library! Even if you’re not a huge history person, I think it’s worth a visit, it’s packed out with information but it’s not boring information, you can “vote” on what you think about particular issues, or get your picture made into a campaigning “ad.” I totally enjoyed this part of Dallas Texas.
After leaving the amazing TCU, we stopped at the Fort Worth Stockade. This was a little 1800’s cowboys in the west movie. It was super cute and reenacted the bringing in of cows.
Verse of the Week
James 1:2-4: Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
